Yoshii Towel has launched a new towel collection, FLOWER TOWEL.
The first new collection in nearly ten years features a single flower boldly filling the entire surface, expressed in three-color jacquard weaving.
Why do we buy flowers and bring them into our homes, even though they serve no practical purpose?
Perhaps our emotional well-being matters more in everyday life than we realize. When we neglect it, our days can begin to feel a little bleak, and somehow, things stop flowing as smoothly as they should.
Surrounding ourselves with something beautiful may be a way of giving our spirits a little boost — almost like a dose of vitamins for the heart.
Just as we bring flowers into a room, this collection brings something beautiful into everyday life.
That is the idea behind FLOWER TOWEL.

吉井タオルより、新作のタオルコレクション FLOWER TOWEL がリリースされました。

約10年ぶりとなるこのコレクションは画面いっぱいに一輪の花を配し、3色毛違いジャガードで表現しています。

人はなぜ、役に立つわけでもなく、これといった用途もない花を買い、部屋に飾るのでしょうか？我々が生活していく上では、きっと思っている以上に「気持ち」の部分が重要で、そこがおろそかになると、毎日が殺伐として、色々なことがうまく回らなくなってしまうような気がします。
綺麗なものを身近に飾る。我々は、気持ちにビタミンをあげるような感覚で、花を飾っているのかもしれません。
花を部屋に飾るように、綺麗なものを生活の中に取り込む。
そんなタオルコレクションを提案します。

A new design joins its long-running rug and mat collection for the first time in nearly ten years.
Why do we bring flowers into our homes, even though we cannot eat them and they serve no practical purpose?
Every day brings all kinds of things — some good, some not so good. Perhaps we decorate our homes with flowers to soften and balance all those things that come our way.
With this thought in mind, I designed a new rug collection inspired by flowers.
Laying down a rug as if placing flowers in a room — with the hope that it will brighten not only the space, but also the way you feel.

食べられるわけでもなく、役に立つものでもない花を、なぜ人は部屋に飾るのでしょうか？
我々が日々生活していると、次々に起こる良いことや悪いこと。
そういった「色々」を中和するために、人は花を飾るのだと思います。

今回、花をテーマにラグをデザインしました。
部屋に花を飾るようにラグを敷く。部屋はもちろん、気持ちまで晴れやかになりますように！
